I listened to some audio of George Wallace campaign rallies on NPR
John Lewis was dead on. These sounded exactly like McCain/Palin rallies. The "real America" theme is lifted from Wallace's speech's of that time.

2. they had a story on today with a guy that was at a rally in Omaha that got violent.
Don't know if they archive the stories. It was on the Chicago NPR, WBEZ.
