If Gore didn't get screwed out of the presidency in 2000, what would the world be like today?

If Gore didn't get screwed out of the presidency in 2000, what would the world be like today?
And who would be running for President right now? Would it still be McCain vs Obama?

Would the traitorous Lieberman be our nominee? Ugh.

Would there even be anything close to resembling a war in Iraq, let alone anywhere?

What would the economy be like? The stock market? Gasoline prices?

The environment? The beautiful, precious environment that Bush has raped for 8 long years?

Unfortunately, we never got to see one of America's greatest statesmen, Al Gore, get that chance although he has certainly done some amazing things for the environment in these last 8 years. Instead, we got a madman who practically ruined the world, singlehandedly, with a little help from his friends.

Barack Obama will certainly have his work cut out for him. Thank goodness he's got such a great head on his shoulders because he's going to need it while he figures out various ways of righting all of Bush's wrongs. I just can't wait until he wins this election, and I'm so looking forward to the minute he's sworn in. Life will start being good again. The entire world is so looking forward to Barack Obama.

1. I always bring myself back into reality about Gore 2000
by remembering, he lost his home state.........Tennessee.....which helps a little.

2. No war in Iraq, maybe some kind of stalemate in Afghanistan just
like we have now except that everyone would be paying attention. I'm not certain that a President Gore could have been effective in focusing the nation's attention on the environment. I think it would have been reminiscent of what happened to Jimmy Carter when he tried to get people's attention during the 1st Energy Crisis.

Al Gore is a nice guy and very smart, but I don;t see him as being effective in office.

3. I cannot imagine how much better our country, and the world would be.
If I had lost someone in Iraq/Afghanistan I would NEVER want to even think about it.
