Oprah warns voters, CHECK YOUR VOTE, Her Presidental Vote was not recorded on first attempt

Oprah Winfrey announced on her live show Friday that she took advantage of Illinois' early-voting laws and voted Thursday in Chicago — but not without a voting booth scare and near emotional meltdown.

"I was worried that there's gonna be such long lines, and I have a live show," Winfrey said, justifying her decision to vote early.

She waited 72 minutes to vote, only to have a near-meltdown in the booth.

"When I voted yesterday electronically, the first vote that you vote for on the ballot is the presidential candidate. It was my first time doing electronic, so I didn't mark the X strong enough, or I held down too long. Because then when I went back to check it, it had not recorded my presidential vote," she said.

She then simulated her meltdown, shaking and breathing heavily while stuttering out the words, "It didn't record my presidential vote."

Watch, and heed Oprah's advice to double check that your vote is recorded:

1. I'm SO GLAD that happened to her...she has a huge audience,
and that will help get the word out. We CANNOT afford to have another election stolen!
Not. This. Time.

4. Yes, it's providence
that it actually happened to someone who has a large megaphone!

Just like when that election documentarist had his vote flip on the machine he was voting on!

2. I voted my absentee in the election office today, and I double and triple checked it..
I was so worried that I somehow, after all these years of doing this, screwed up the little line connecting the arrows.

5. I had the same feeling
As I cast my ballot- we have the scan-tron type machines here in Hillsborough County- I was making sure I filled in my oval enough, then worried I had filled it in too much... then worried that it would even count at all if the machines were rigged.

It's a horrible feeling. Don't get me wrong, I shook it off and felt so proud to be voting for Obama- walked on sunshine all day! But that anxiety is still there, deep down, and it shouldn't be.

This is a fundamental of the democratic process that they're messing with and it frickin pisses me off.

3. Bless her heart..the feelings of not
getting our votes recorded are tied up in 8 years of bush stealing the presidency twice and trashing our country and the people in it.
