Well more than one million people in the Metroplex will have cast votes in the presidential election by the time the polls close at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
County elections officers in Dallas and Denton counties have already reported record turnouts during early voting in their respective counties, and the estimates already appear to be higher than were predicted only a few days ago.
Don Alexander, Denton County elections officer, predicted Tuesday that more than 150,000 would have voted early by the time early voting ended Friday night.
A total of 165,184 had voted between Oct. 20 and mid-afternoon Friday, and Alexander was predicting that as many as 190,000 may have voted early in the county by 7 p.m. Friday ...
