McClaim: Obama is the MOST LIBERAL VOTING Senator in America........ like its a Bad thing
Edited on Fri Oct-31-08 11:19 PM by opihimoimoi
When checking the record...Obama voted for the American People most of the Time...

a lot more than Caine has...

How can we trust McMoot in a REAL WAR when he clearly fucks up his Political War with Obama??? If McMoot was that good....he would be LEADING the Polls by a very WIDE MARGIN....the Fact that he is NOT...

Speaks for itself....

1. FACT is, McCain is WRONG.
But the other FACT is, McCain doesn`t give a fuck about FACTS.

After he loses next week, will he write another book begging Americans to forgive him for his lies as he did in his``Flag of Our Fathers`` bookÉ

4. They don't care ONE WHIT about facts!
Repugs m.o. is to state lies repeatedly, so people believe them.

Have heard on car radio several times in last week that Cong. Dems will raise taxes on 42% of 'working Americans,' and other such crap. THEY JUST LIE!

3. If it were true, that would be one thing,
but it ain't.

What is true is that McCain voted 90% of the time for Bush's policies.

5. The claim comes from the National Journal: their "survey" is done by a wingnut,
and amazingly they said exactly the same thing about Kerry in 2004

14. I hear ya, opi. Here's the thing: I fought that fight for years, beginning
in the early 70s. And in all that time, I never gained ground. Finally, it occurred to me that most of the people who were knee-jerking about liberalism just didn't use the word the same way I did, and I didn't really have a chance in hell of getting them to adopt my semantics

I still think it's a great word, and in my mind it is tied to an honorable political tradition. But the curious fact is this: for many years, many folk (if asked about specific policies) would support policies I regarded as liberal -- while (on the other hand) if you asked whether they considered themselves liberal or conservative, they would tell you they considered themselves conservative. For the purposes of political discourse, the labels liberal/conservative became meaningless -- and being meaningless, they began to function the way racial labels do: namely, they began empty vessels into which individuals could pour their fears and anxieties, since otherwise the lables had no real significance

Here in the US, most people have no meaningful political vocabulary: the rightwing, for example, uses communist as a catch-all synonym for repressive, ignoring differences between various instances of repressive government. People are uniformed about history and current affairs, and a cheap linguistic approach substitutes for knowledge or insight

We're facing enormous problems, for which we must find stable political solutions that embody effect policy. The social and economic resistance will be substantial -- and it is likely to involve much emotional sloganeering

Bottom line: if I happen to like using a label to describe myself, but find that it doesn't really work in a political context, I'm inclined to drop it and concentrate on the more important political and policy issues

15. In the Fogginess of Despair / Worry (current Situation ) we tend to grasp
and solve big issues with our gut feelings(emotions) with emphasis on Realistic Solutions....

Obama seems the best odds...

6. Why is it that they claim that every Dem running for Prez. is the "most liberal" every time around.
somehing about that just makes it rather suspicious.

Let's hope that someday that will be considered a compliment.

8. To many independents, that would be a bad thing.
But it's not even close to being true. Obama is way behind people like Kennedy, Boxer, etc.
