Louisiana a Blue state ???
So what's up here?



I was checking out CNN's early voting map

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/27/early.voting.map/index.html?eref=rss_latest

And I'm seeing like 2x's as many democrat votes cast then republican

Can someone explain?

I mean, is this a POLL or is this statistical data? I got the link from http://www.electoral-vote.com/

I had always assumed LA was a Red state, but then noticed they DID vote Clinton both times according to EV's data.

5. I think African American support is huge there
but it wont go blue,red necks don't know what early voting is,and i'll expect them to show up in nov 4th

8. The vast majority of votes are still cast on election day
It would be great if Louisiana actually went blue but that's not likely. Most votes are cast on election day, and the fact that Democrats have a lead in early voting in Louisiana just lends credibility to the argument that Democrats, in general, are voting earlier this year. That could mean that the lead flips on election day. The only way we can lose this election right now is complacency - and I think that complacency is most likely amongst young voters which we need badly! I'm a couple years out of that age range now but if I was out there right now (I'm overseas for business) I would be working on getting young people to the polls.

10. It's a longshot, but not impossible.
Ron Paul is on Louisiana's ballot so he might be McCain's Nader in Louisiana.
