It's pretty obvious that you're a mccain supporter, but you don't have to be so up front about it.

16. Republicans coming home to their guy
you don't see Obama's numbers falling as much as McCain's numbers going up.

yes it happpens.

as you will recall, Bill Clinton had a big lead in '92 only to have it shrink to 5 points by election day. the difference this year is that while Obama was leading by even more, a good percentage of the vote was recorded leaving only part of it to be recorded on election day, thus mitigating a late surge by McCain.

26. but you've been pushing the 'why is Obama sinking' stuff way too much
that's why people are losing it with you.

it seems like you are cherrypicking the worst polls for Obama and spending an inordinate amount of time suggesting they are credible in spite of many more polls (and reasons) to think that these polls may be outliers.

just some friendly observations. people are really on edge now and rightly so. DU is not the place to put up posts 'why are we not doing better?' and 'why are our poll numbers bad' (when they in fact aren't) again and again.

31. I am not pushing that shit...
that's crazy....I post all national polls whether they are good or bad...sometimes I get a little concerned when I see for example Obama go from 13 points up to 8 points up in 2-3 days like the one that is the subject of the OP...this poll does not make sense to me...that's all...I AM SUSPICIOUS OF THIS POLL...have you seen any posts from me regarding the polls that only have Obama up by 4 points in PA....if I wanted to push the "Obama is sinking meme" i would have posted on these polls as well but I haven't...

33. Intent vs. Perception
Somebody on this forum posted a very good piece a while back regarding intent vs. perception. I read your response and perceived it as a genuine request for more information. Others read it and perceived you to be.... Well, let's see: a dickhead, a McSame supporter, a troll...

I don't see how anybody can read a "sinking meme" into your response, but everybody perceives things differently. And as Creekdog said, people are one edge.

34. i don't see how someone can be perceived...
in any way shape or form as a McCain supporter by being concerned about a poll...so if Obama is talking to his pollsters and he is concerned about a particular state does that mean he is a let's see: a dickhead, a McSame supporter, a troll...Huh?

36. I hear you.
I used the "ignore" feature for the very first time today. Even if people disagree, I don't see why they can't at least be civil. From what I gather, expressing any kind of concern on DU is viewed as doom and gloom.

But back to my OP, and 8 point lead in PA is a beautiful thing!

35. Noting the tightening polls in PA jives with what Gov Rendell has been saying.
There is anti-Obama crap, noting ONLY the bad polls. Then there is reasoned analyzing, and rational observation of tightening polls and situations on the ground, such as Governor Rendell has been talking about. He has been urging Obama and surrogates to come back to PA & campaign hard because McCain & Palin are attracting crowds of thousands and making inroads.

But Obama can't go everywhere. It seems that Obama's camp has decided that PA is safe enough for surrogates to go there these last days, while Obama tries to shore things up in other states that are tighter. I can't argue with a campaign that has been historically successful up to this point!

30. Gramps Going All In May Mean Losing His Home State
8 Points is a lot of ground to make up in 3 days. Saturation advertising may move the numbers a point or two, but much of those numbers are what they call "soft"...the vast majority of the electorate has decided and there's not enough left in the middle to make up that big of a margin.

This latest gamble on Gramps may just cost him Arizona, North Carolina and Indiana...but then without grabbing a "blue" state, Gramps is toast.
