Palin is a remarkable politician. |
|
It took Bush 5 years, a misguided war, a botched natural disaster and a housing bubble, to invert his positive/negative poll numbers. Palin has changed people's perception of her in just 2 months. She has gone from 60/40 positive to 33/60. That is remarkable.

3. I do think she's remarkable |
|
I think it's remarkable that so many people are falling for her bullshit. It's amazing to me that her vitriolic vacuous personality turns so many people on. She is good at what she does.
why anyone is falling for it beyond me.

5. She is not good at what she does, she is nothing more than an image that the gop is inventing... |
|
and the media is helping to push that certain image...it has nothing to do with her skills, thats more than apparent..she has gotten more air time than any other politician out there when you look at just how long she has been on the scenes...honestly without their help she would still be a complete unknown and if left alone in Alaska, the trail of dead bodies she has left through her career would definitely have ensured her demise from the political spectrum...

6. Palin is only Version 1.0 |
|
She's the trial version. The fascists are looking for a "Margaret Thatcher" type. They will either spend the next eight years "reinventing" Palin or they will learn from this experience and bring out a new model in eight years.
A couple of things to remember. The corporate media can create just about any reality it wants. Give it four years and it can have a majority of the American people ready to carry Sarah Palin into the White House on their shoulders. The mistake this time was to introduce her in the midst of a campaign where she was linked to a doddering old fool and against a smooth politician with a good machine and a lot of popular support - and to do it in the heat of the campaign.
Had they introduced her on the scene gradually, the media could have turned her into the new Ronald Reagan, not that it would impress most of us, but it would impress a lot of other people.
The other thing to remember is that the fascists learn very well from their mistakes. Everything that cost them support in Vietnam -- the draft, intense TV coverage of the war and returning bodies, and massive public demos -- they avoided this time around. They will learn from this too. And they adapt.
So, either they will try to retread Sarah and foist her off on us again. Or, they will toss her on the slag heap and bring out Version 2.0, which will have a lot of the bugs worked out.

7. You either hate her or like her... |
|
She appeals to a large number of people and does seem to have some charisma (definitely more than McCain). However, she also polarizes another large group of people. It may be a small survey, but none of the people I've talked to fall in between. When I mention Joe Biden, I hear warm comments but little enthusiasm or hate. Very few people seem to know of or care about his occasional misstatements.
But it's obvious that Palin has intentions of staying on the national stage and running for President in four years.
