ATTN PA DUers - a question
According to MSNBC, McCain GOTV is going all in in PA and thousands of McCain GOTV volunteers have been pouring into PA.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27482344/

Do you guys see any evidence of this on the ground or is this article just more bullshit?

1. I got 6 calls from Obama groups yesterday, 1 from McCain.
I live in a rural area and have seen no one going door to door.

2. Just a note before the ensuing freak out...

Obama losing PA won't give McCain the election, it just makes Obama's victory speech come a little later.

We could lose OH, FL, and PA and still win with NV, VA, & CO -- all places that Obama leads by more than six points.

I hate to be such a fivethirtyeight.com fanboi, but Nate always puts it much better than I ever would: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/pennsylvania-sanity-check.html

Edit: typo

I live in South Western Pennsylvania,
I haven't seen any around here, also no mccain bumper stickers, went to the Obama rally in Pittsburgh last week and there were twenty thousand people there,so,I don't think you have to worry about Pennsylvania!

8. Squirrels??? Squirrels??? I HATE Repukes!! I Feed Squirrels EVERYDAY!!
Have one tattooed on my leg, raised about 50 or 60 of them from tiny babies with an eye dropper!

KILL the Repukes!! SAVE the SQUIRRELS!!! And yes, I KNOW people call them Tree Rats, and they can be pesky, but if you've ever raised one you would understand how I feel!

11. I never raised any but I did train several of them to eat from my hand
at an apartment I had. I also set up a squirrel jungle-gym on my back deck when I lived in AK. watching those guys kept me happy and sane when I was unemployed.

Figures repukes would be shooting them. they have to find some way to claim their superiority/manhood. What better way than killing small defenseless creatures.

14. Yes, I MUST Go Outside And Spend Time With "My Babies" That WILL
calm my nerves!! Didn't think about until now! They know my voice and/or smell and ALWAYS come to see me. I know many have passed away and some have been caught by big birds or cats, but still there's a large group who come out to play!

While I cage them until they're ready to get out on their own, I would NEVER keep them in a cage! They should be free to do what they do! They have taught me so much in so many ways! I don't even like fish tanks!

Just took a long bath to calm myself, so I'll just go sit with them now. I was supposed to be phoning today but was so sick this AM, and I know it's ALL anxiety related. Tomorrow until Tuesday it will be non-stop for me and my daughter. Funny, we're poll watchers from 1 to 7 PM on election day, so we won't be able to see the first returns. I suppose that's good, IF I make it until then!

16. Hubby and I are working 6:30 am till it's over on Tuesday.
Hubby is the poll watcher and I'm the poll lead. Hopefully we can keep things moving that will keep the lines from getting ugly long and we'll be able to watch returns after 7:00p instead of trying to keep people from leaving the lines. Wish I could take the dog with us....he also helps keep me calm and happy.

10. Heh! I once had an epic battle with a truly evil squirrel
I had a tiny little hole in the cedar siding of my house drilled out by a little woodpecker who made a nest in the attic. We though it was cute - until the evil squirrel appeared, drilled the little hole into a big hole and nested in the attic as well, having babies that we didn't discover until one night when my wife came out of the shower and suddenly a hole appeared in the sheetrock wall of our bedroom and a squirrel stuck his head through to look at her - SHRIEK!!!!, LOL

So I read up on squirrels, filled the hole with mothballs and they threw the mothballs out - so much for that! Then I covered the hole while they were out for the day and they drilled two more holes to get back in just to get even!

Now it was WAR! So I went out and got a Have-A-Heart trap, baited it with peanut butter and over the next two days caught 6 of those diabolical little critters who I transported to the county park where I let them loose (snarling and hissing at me in ingratitude I might add).

15. You Did The Correct Thing... NOT GOOD HOUSE PETS!! They NEED
to chew to keep their teeth from growing too long, and they chew A LOT!! One reason I ALWAYS let them go. I usually get them some shells to chew on when they are very small, then brazil nuts. My squirrels are VERY, VERY spoiled even though in the wild!

Living in my part of Florida the best we have are pine cones, so during the holiday season and right afterward I stock up on all kinds of nuts I can buy. I put them in the freezer and they stay quite nicely.

Glad you didn't kill them. Some people get those rat traps that have sticky stuff on them and starve them to death!! I can't even watch the animal cops show even if it turns out okay in the end. If one believes in reincarnation... I WAS an animal in the past!

7. I'm here in Center City Philadelphia and literally tens of thousands of McCainiacs
are storming thru the streets, furiously handing out leaflets with his positions on everything from Nuclear First-strike Options to the closing of abortion clinics. As I quickly and furtively type this screed before the hordes descend upon me like a swarm of locusts just let me say that AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Seriesly, there is no hugh demonstration of McCain folks anywhere I've seen. He just doesn't give off that kind of, shall we say, excitement...

9. No phone calls, but
we don't have a land line any more. Lots of mail - the other day I got 6 political ads from the repukes. My dh is a registered republican (he is a Goldwater republican and HATES what the party represents today. He will vote for Obama), and I get more mail than him.

Also lots of McCain yard signs, but then the specific areas where I live & work are heavily repuke (although Allegheny and Westmoreland counties will go Dem.)
