3 steps to stealing an election
1. Rig the machines
2. Create a smokescreen
3. Steal the election

The theft is explained away by the smokescreen, e.g., "Bradley Effect", etc.

THIS election would need a huge smokescreen to steal.

Was one just generated? Stinks like it to me. And with the exact same timing as the 2004 Bin Laden video.

It doesn't MATTER if the auntie story changes or doesn't change a single vote. That is not its purpose. Its purpose is to provide the smokescreen.

2. it's simple enough for simple-minded republicans to do, unfortunately
however, this is not 2000 or 04, and we'll get them this time :kick:

4. There are about 2,500 steps to steal an election. Some are in progress
and SOME HAVE BEEN STOPPED.

Those thousands of steps have been IN PROGRESS FOR MONTHS. The aunty story is not the main distraction; those smears have been rolled out at regular intervals. The ACORN story is the main distraction. Pretending that fake voter registrations have ever caused fake votes. The Bush Dept of Justice tried to trump up some cases for their attorneys to take on but many of those attorneys refused to take the cases because they were so weak. Those attorneys were fired.

With no cases to show that fake registration was ever a real issue, the dishonest GOP aka Republicans created a PR storm as they can do with Republican owned media corporations now. They created a fake storm of controversy to distract citizens from the real problems of purging of voter rolls (some stopped), vote flipping software (some caught, whistleblowers on record), voter misdirecting robocalls and fliers, etc. as can be reviewed in documentary cited below.

Therefore, WE NEED AN AVALANCHE to get our landslide.

To see the FIVE MAIN TECHNIQUES Republicans have used in recent elections, check out

www.stealingamericathemovie.org or download it FREE now for future viewing and as a historical record.

FOR EMERGENCY INFO: www.stealbackyourvote.org to do our best to be sure our votes count.

There are many wonderful election integrity groups but their efforts are hampered by elections being run by local officials. Therefore, lots of local lawsuits may be required which takes lots of cash.

Let's hope the Obama Administration can engineer some real reform in our election process to secure it from partisan moves and take us back to paper ballots with RANDOM AUDITING.

5. I just saw "Uncounted" last night
it was like reliving the nightmares.

I also looked up the info on the company that creates the e-Slate voting machines (used here in California) and saw that they received a large part of their capital from Bush's cronies. Yes! I'm nervous! That's one of the reasons that I'm going to be a poll worker but the technology of it scares the hell out of me. Why oh why can't we go back to paper and a pencil?

6. More people are aware that Republicans use multiple methods to manipulate
elections this time so I hope that will add to pressure to stop them in future.

I have UNCOUNTED too. That was really good on letting us know just how many votes remain uncounted. That is staggering, but should also give Obama and Democrats courage to resist Republican steamrolling for early concessions if it looks like they're going to win by a "miraculous upset."

I recommend downloading Stealing America: Vote by Vote also. It is free now and will help you show your more skeptical friends about all the different techniques Republicans have used. It also contains some info comparing historical election fraud to modern methods and the relative scale of those incidents.

Stealing America has film footage of election night 2004 which was very sad for me.

7. me too
I remember standing in the kitchen, washing the dishes, and balling my eyes out.

I will definitely download it. If I could only get my Republican sister and uncle to watch it.
