Georgia Early Voting Ends with 2 Million Votes Cast (Blacks Make Up 35.08% of Early Voting)

2.0 million votes cast in early voting for 2008
3.3 million total votes cast in 2004

Early voting in 2008 makes up for 61% of the total votes cast in 2004, which well exceeds the 2004 early voting of 20.2% of the total 2004 vote.

If the percentage of African Americans voting holds, Obama would only need about 25% of the white vote to win Georgia.

3. We were part of the white population that voted absentee this year in Ga.
I' sooo glad we did! I'm more than happy to have spent 2 stamps on each ballot! I can't physically stand for 5-8 hours in line for anything! GOBAMA! I'm also hoping Saxby is a gonner!

4. Georgia
There Is a reason Obama Is spending money there. They are not stupid.Obama has a much better shot at
winning Georgia than Mccain does PA,and NH.And If I am correct he did better In the georgia primary
than some polls said he would.Again showing the so called Bradley effect Is BS.If It exsisted It would be In the south.

5. But the percentage of African Americans wont hold
Just like in the primaries that had early voting, African Americans turned out early more often than whites.

6. While that's true, more people will have voted in early voting than on election day
I doubt you would see that much of a drop because there are still plenty of African Americans planning to vote on election day. Also, absentee voting tends to favor the GOP but so far, that has been a non-factor.

7. Love it. Go Georgia!
I think Kerry pulled around 23% of the white vote in 2004. A bit better than that Tuesday and my beloved Georgia could very well turn blue!
