This Election Feels Like a Stephen King Novel! |
|
Didn't he write "The Stand"? Anyway, it feels like the fight between "good" and "evil" for the country/planet......only, this is a fight between "intelligence" and the "Fundie-Limbaugh-'I'm ignorant and goddamn proud of it" mentality!!!
This time intelligence has got to win. We've not only taken this country down to the pits under this incessant ignorance; but have damn near taken the world with us!!! The scum has risen to the top while those with any realistic sense and intelligence and education just sat and moaned. Our minorities have been beaten down so long by this scum that they gave up fighting long ago and now see a reason to stand their ground and say "I'll be goddamned if I'm going to get out of this voting line"!!!
If, God forbid, we lose, I know that there are millions who this time will NOT let these slime run roughshod over this land. Not any more!!! I really feel a kinship with so many. I no longer feel lost in a sea of narrow-minded ignorance; but rather people who finally are standing up! This has been such an empty, awful 8 years.

1. We're about to reach the climax |
|
The climax of most Stephen King novels is usually the complete and total destruction of whatever the evil happens to be. Las Vegas by nuclear bomb in The Stand, Derry by flood in It, Salem's Lot by fire in, well, Salem's Lot. It's all about to burn down for the Repukes. Grab some marshmallows and enjoy the show.
