2. She doesn't even know the prime minister of Canada! |
|
They clearly say the name of somebody who is not the prime minister of Canada, and Palin continues gushing about how much she's worked with him as governor of Alaska! OMG.
She sounds like she's twelve years old.

"I follow your campaign closely with my special American advisor Johnny Halliday".
Johnny Halliday is a cheezy French pop singer who made a career covering American hits in French.
Also very interesting to hear that McCain and her admire Sarkozy.

Although the socialists try to come back every one in a while, they always have to build a coalition which includes all sorts of ultra-leftist lesser parties, the least anti-capitalist of all often being the communist party itself.

That assistant just joined the rolls of the unemployed.
In her partial defense, I don't think she could really understand everything that was being said. I didn't hear the 'Nailin Palin' part very clearly at first. On a cell phone with noise all around and thinking you're really talking to a head of state, I could see how she would go with it.
However, someone who knows something about the world wouldn't have gotten that far into the call without knowing something was wrong. What's really funny (scary?) is that she goes into a kind of autopilot with all the catchphrases coming out.

45. Oh that's crazy. Then who do you blame? |
|
Basically it's her own fault...but then that brings up the question...did she run this past McCain. It would be naturally assumed that McCain's people would be on top of this as well. So if it took 5 days who's fault is it really, and it actually shows how inept her campaign is if it's different from McCain's as well as verifies she's gone rogue. Secondly it would show how inept the entire McCain/Palin campaign is in and of itself for such a thing to happen.

Quebec has no Prime Minister, of course. It's a province of Canada.
I only remember a little bit of French, but I think there were some good lines in there in French too. Translations please?

44. Well, the Premier of Quebec can be referred to as the Prime Minister of Quebec |
|
but normally wouldn't be:
From Wiki:
"The Premier of Quebec (in French Premier ministre du Québec, sometimes literally translated as Prime Minister of Quebec) is the first minister for the Canadian province of Quebec. The Premier is the province's head of government and its title is Premier and President of the Executive Council. The current Premier of Quebec is Jean Charest, appointed June 6, 2003."

She spoke like she was giving a stump speech, since she WANTED her conversation to be replayed, and capitalize on her "foreign policy experience".
Careful what you wish for.
