24. They'll say that the celebrations overseas proves that Obama is anti-American. |
|
It's stupid but that's what they'll say.

3. Just reading your post - this vision instantly popped into my head... |
|
they will be celebrating around the world the way we did on December 31, 1999. I remember coverage by ABC, showing celebrations starting in Sidney and coming round to NYC then CA then Hawaii.
That is the vision I see - fireworks and celebrations. The beginning of the end of our long national nightmare.

Any Americans you know abroad, in London, or wherever... let them know they need to get out there and raise a flag or two, of whatever country they are in, and an American flag, too!

It's interesting. I live in the states, but I know Canada well, and have been to Europe several times. So I know the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands are solid behind Obama. I think it's the same in Australia, and probably a dozen other places, but I don't have contacts there.

and immediately thought of the Christmas song O Holy Night:
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Yes, it's gonna be a planet-wide party November 5th.

met or talked to a single person that supports McSame & Caribou Barbie. I'd say the celebrations over here will be mighty.
I'm leaving Monday morning so I can vote for Obama Tuesday. I live in a suburb of Chicago and I'm toying with the idea of going down to Grant Park on Tuesday night. Don't know for sure if I will, I might be seriously jetlagged come Tuesday night.

27. I've done all of my foreign travel in the last 7 years.... |
|
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 07:20 PM by XOKCowboy
My first trip overseas was right after we invaded Iraq. I was asked by at least one person if I supported Bush and the invasion and I was proud to let them know that not all Americans were in support. I've been to Europe and Asia 4 times each and twice back to London since and have never encountered any hatred for Americans. Just once though I'd like to travel overseas and not have to defend that bumbling fool from Connecticut.
