There must have been 50 or 60 people in the room on cellphones making calls. I mostly got answering machines (and left a message reminding them when and where to vote) but the ones who did answer were mostly very friendly and happy to speak with me.

They had so many volunteers they ran out of cellphones and some of us had to use our own.

2. Sorry I missed your call :)
I did get the message, though. And someone came to the door to make sure we were voting. This is in NY where there are no worries. I'm delighted to see that the ground game is so thorough. Thanks for calling, even if it wasn't you.

3. I just want everyone who's afraid to try it to know that it is not difficult.
You have a script and most of the people you talk to are very nice. I had one or two hang up on me but no one spoke to me nastily. You're surrounded by other people doing the same thing and you feel great afterwards!

And there were donuts!

5. Good for you.
I can't phonebank because I quickly lose my voice. So I was out doorknocking supporters today. A beautiful autumn day in MN. A heavy Democratic district. We're making sure all of O's voters know where to vote and are informed about same day registration if needed.

6. Good for you!
I've done doorknocking in the past but it's difficult for me to talk to so many strangers face to face. I think I find phonebanking easier because it's anonymous. Everyone should do what they're most comfortable doing. That way, between us we have all the bases covered.

8. I just got a call in CT. I laughed. I told her I'm addicted to political blogs and TV
and was just about the last person who needed reminding.

Nice to know it's happening here in blue connecticut.
