DOWN Goes MSNBC:
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 04:58 PM by hnmnf
If you're watching you will understand

For those who werent: Big time fuck up I guess where they had Frank Newport from Gallup and he was asked a question, responded and then he waited for like 60 seconds, then they just went to a break. Obviously a big technical difficulty

24. The Gallup Poll man was on
talking about the undecided voters and all of a sudden C.T. was M.I.A. and the Gallup man was left staring at the camera looking silly....

It was kind of funny.

54. Sometimes if they could be bothered to add just a half dozen words it would make all the difference.
This drove me nuts when I couldn't watch one of the debates and was reading DU only to see posts which said something like, "I can't believe he said THAT!" Just useless. Posters are in such a hurry to be the first that they don't mind giving an incomplete story.

Drudge's former favorites, who today have called the race for Obama. Bwahahahahah

Hey Drudge, where's your siren?! I guess he's more concerned with some poor Kenyan relative of Obama than the fact that McCain is TOAST. TOAST. TOAST.

not only will the election result be too decisive to steal, it will be too decisive to spin as anything other than a serious mandate.

and of course, it will be too decisive to keep them or some other network from calling the whole shebang before 11 pm EDT.

remote location. Chuck asked Frank if it isn't true that the undecided will likely break for McCain. Frank said there is nothing to suggest that is true. Then the camera didn't cut back to Chuck. It was like, Chuck was so shocked to receive that news he passed out.

45. Here it is:
Chuckie had the Gallup guy for a guest. Gallup shows Obama +11 and CHuck said: What about the undecided. Can they go to McCain. Gallup guy said "no". They will probably break even, they are white, independent-leaning. The African Americans and Hispanics have gone decisevely to Obama. Gallup guy waiting for Chuck to answer back, crickets...crickets...Gallup guy smiles and they go to commercial.

58. the media has had this crazy notion about undecideds
a while back, they decided to believe that "undecided" meant suburban white voter who was absolutely going to vote for McCain but who didn't want his neighbors to think he was a racist. Why would a suburban white voter have a problem telling anyone he wants to vote for McCain if that is what he's going to do anyway? Especially now when it's obvious that McCain's poor performance in the polls is hurting him in two ways: first, some undecided bandwagoners are going with the "winner" and second, some of his base is giving up. No, if you're undecided it's because on the one hand you think Obama is inexperienced and possibly too liberal while on the other hand you think the Republicans have done a really bad job in office and you're worried about Palin. A group of voters like that will break evenly.

40. GREAT NEWS:
Frank Newport was very adamant, very clear that he doesn't see the undecideds all breaking for McCain.

He says their numbers are getting better for Obama because 27% of their polling is with people who have already voted.

"It just keeps getting better for Obama."
