We bought an American flag today...hopefully, it will go up on the front porch Wednesday morning....

We always had one until December 12th 2000, the day the Supreme Court gave the country to George W Bush. We agreed to take it down in protest. It went back up on September 12, 2001 for obvious reasons and flew until the day Dubya illegally invaded Iraq. We've not flown a flag since.

Thank you all for helping elect Barack Obama and allowing me to be proud of my country again.

I fly a flag every day. I fly it for those who were pushed into harm's way, those who die in the desert, those who have passed on long before me.

I fly the banner for my nation, not for bush or the GOP...and everyone around me knows why I keep it out. The GOP never took our flag from this nation, it used it to get people to go along w/policies that destroy our nation from within, I fly my flag because I love my country, the people in it and those who will stand up against the tyranny of the neo-cons.

Our flag is a powerful symbol, and I'll be damned if the R's think they have control of it.

7. I have two flags....

that have flown for a period of one week since Bushco was installed. That one week was the week following 9-11. Wednesday morning I will fly one or both to celebrate the victory of President-Elect Obama.

9. I Cleaned My Flag Today!!!

I pulled it out of the place it was stored in the garage and cleaned it thoroughly. It's now hanging up in my house to dry.

I hope that on Wednesday we can show every filthy, anti-American, bigoted Republican who the real Americans are and fly our flags high! I will be putting mine out as soon as Obama is called as the 44th President, to show my Republican neighbors what a REAL freaking American looks like.

The clip-on kind like SUV drivers have. I figure I'll put them on as soon as Obama gets 270 EV, and drive around with them for a week to piss-off the Republicans. Then I'll put them back on for Inauguration Day.

mine flew upsidedown until my neighbor stole it from Nov.5th 2004....haven't flown one since. Starting to wonder when I can run it up the pole again...I really don't think I can bring myself to do it until 01_20_2009.
