EARLY VOTERS CHOOSE BARACK OBAMA

October 28-31, 2008

With just three more days before the country picks its next president, the Obama-Biden ticket has increased its lead slightly among ALL likely voters. The Democratic ticket now leads by 13 points – 54% to 41%.

...

As both candidates continue to battle it out over the final days as to who can better handle a troubled economy, Barack Obama seems to be winning the argument. Far more voters think his policies will make the economy better if he were elected president, while they think John McCain is just as likely as Obama to raise their taxes.

With this poll the RCP average is up to 6.8% !!

Undecided only 4% in this poll.

It's also too far apart for him to steal it.

After this election we are going to have to encourage some California DUers to relocate to "purple" states to help blue them up.

Thirteen points is insane. Insane. That would mean a twenty million vote margin. I'd love it but there's just no way.
Whoever did that poll is gone waaaaaaayyyyyy out on a limb. I salute you, sir or madam.

22. At least 10 percent more people are identifying themselves as Democrats vs. Republicans.
If you factor in the increased enthusiasm on the Democratic side, that's probably a pretty valid D/R breakdown, actually.

Too bad for you, eh?

26. CBS/NY Times nailed it in 2004.
They had Bush winning by 3, using party ID numbers that favored him and what do you know, they were right.

19. Check out the early vote numbers. Obama leads 57-38.
As if that's not good enough, consider that these same early voters went for Kerry by only five points in 2004. Obama wins them by fucking 19!

I understand why Team Obama could be feeling confident ... but determined ... right now.

25. No, it's in there - see link
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html

It does seem too heavily weighted to Dems, but I'll take it. We all know Obama won't beat McCain by 13 points, though. I'd be thrilled with a 6 point margin.
