Give Obama CO, NV, NM, VA, IA, and all the Kerry states except PA to Obama -- these are all states in which he is polling at an average of 6 points or better above McCain.

Result: 270-268 Obama.

I personally now believe that Obama will carry all three big swing states -- but this just shows how he can win without any of them if the truly bizarre happens in Pennsylvania. We don't even need NC at this point.

1. And the odds of Obama winning NONE of the big three are close to 0.

2. Precisely. We simply have too many paths to victory right now.

3. I'm worried about PA for a different reason
I'm pretty sure at this point that Obama will win the overall election. I just don't want to be embarrassed by my state.

6. I know how you feel. I'm rather proud of the fact . . .
. . . that I live in the only state to have been consistently blue during my entire lifetime. :)

4. What a coincidence!
I've just worked out that scenario on my interactive electoral vote map.

It demonstrates how strong a position Obama is in. I too am confident that Obama will carry Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.

5. I can't imagine himn losing PA
Someone here said the other day the real reason McCain is barnstorming PA is because it's one of the few states where he has any kind of organized ground game; couple that with the appeal to racism (a la the B-Girl) and they actually think they can flip a 12% lead.

7. It won't happen. Republicans talk about it, therefore DUers take it seriously....
That's really all there is to it.
