5. I'm shocked McCain would agree to that joke being in the script
I mean all the guests (political ones at least) get to see the script as it's being written and to have a hand in writing all the jokes.

That joke basically said even McCain's people seem to think it's over for them.

The T shirt bit was by far the funniest moment of that largely unfunny skit. It's a testament to the fact that Tina Fey will be more widely remembered for her performance this election season than the airhead she has impersonated the past few weeks.
