DoD Identifies Army Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Sgt. Scott J. Metcalf, 36, of Framingham, Mass., died Oct. 29, in Balad, Iraq,
of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident. He was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 32nd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky. The incident is under investigation. Metcalf is survived by his wife, Betty, and daughter Korrine of Clarksville, Tenn., and his mother, Paulette, of Northbridge.

The only way in which the "surge has worked" is that it's succeeded in turning our illegal occupation of Iraq invisible, even - sadly - here in Left Blogistan.

I've kept quiet about it all for a while now but I read on this "Left Blogistan"
a list of first "must have's" after Obama is elected and Iraq and Afghanistan
weren't even included and the caveat was "anything else should be off the table!" :wtf:

5. No but I used to live in Framingham. I'm 15 mins away. He's from Tenn., I think

His Mom's from Mass. She lives in Northbridge.

Framingham is the biggest town in the USA or it used to be.

There's a lot of people living there.
