Report from the Obama rally in Springfield, MO

I began the day in my home town... We had work to do before we could catch the bus to Springfield.




After a long day of canvassing 200 of us loaded a total of 4 buses from Joplin to the rally in Springfield. We arrived late compared to the rest of the crowd but what a crowd it was...




To the right of the above picture a group of several thousand more folks...




Claire McCaskill spoke about how proud she was of SWMO, the Obama campaign, and the country. She delivered her cleaver and typical, "I thought there were not any Democrats in SWMO!" line. Michelle spoke also.

Obama spoke for about 40 minutes.






"Springfield Public Schools officials estimated the crowd between 35,000 and 40,000." This as far as I could find or remember is the largest rally in the history of SWMO.
