Poll question: Should Obama/Biden bring up prankgate?
I wouldn't mind if Biden threw in a little zinger at a rally. The tape speaks for itself of course, but I don't doubt for a second that McPalin would have been shouting from the rooftops had Obama fallen for such a prank.

1. This is for Jay Leno and Jon Stewart, not Obama's VP. n/t
(Although I'm sure Joe would enjoy it thoroughly.)

2. Frankly, it's funny, but it doesn't really affect anything.
I mean, what could they really say? Palin's too stupid to realize it was a prank? That's just attacking character, something we're trying to get past.

5. The Obama campaign already had the perfect response when asked about the prank.

Obama's campaign spokesman Robert Gibbs, commenting on the prank, said: "I'm glad we check out our calls before we hand the phone to Barack Obama."

I don't think there is anything else to be said.

Palin, sounded like her normal clueless self. I just hope she goes back to Alaska never to return to the public light ever again. But I think she'll be in talks with Fox (or even CNN, considering the way they've been shilling for McCain this entire election).

9. Not sure about that. Leaves open whether Obama would have fallen for it if he got the call. This
is the campaign patting itself on the back. The campaign is not the candidate. They should have lifted up the candidate, not themselves, no matter how good they are. Then again, the campaign reflects on Obama. But, they could have done both.

14.  I wasn't going to say it, but that's my take too
It shifted the blame from Palin and put it on her staffers. Obama is smart enough to have great staff, but even if he didn't Obama would have caught on 2 seconds into the call!

18. Lawrence O'Donnell was asked by Chris Matthews on Hardball about it, and he too put the blame on
on the campaign staffers. He said that Palin's campaign staff was totally incompetent.

10. I am not sure why they should not but just not in their style.
I could not do it to her. I hate to be so old about it but it would hurt her feelings sort of. Maybe my face is red to think she fell for it so I feel bad for her. I have often wondered why she has put her self into a spot that is way over her head but I do not think it is some thing she sees. I believe she went after this job for a long time.

11. Let the Press do it.
And if McCain or Palin get nasty these last few days, Biden (or an Obama surrogate) can crack the whip.

Other than that, leave it alone and let the MSM hash over it.

Thank goodness, KO and David Schuster already have.

12. If O-n-Joe were posting the same numbers as Mocaine, I'd say "YES!"
But now I say leave it up to the comics and the 527's.

13. One little zinger by Biden wouldn't hurt...
...he could also mention her use of Yahoo Mail for official Alaska business.

19. They don't need to. Viral videos like this, spread by word of mouth.
They don't need a push by the candidates.

But if asked about it, I would like to see a snicker and a smile
and an acknowledgment that they had seen it.
