The only year I could find a detailed budget for was 1998 when its operating budget was $30,586,000. Of that, 27 percent went toward production costs (I'm not sure where hiring a pollster would fall, but 27 percent was the largest chunk of the budget, so I'll be generous.) That's $8,258,220 for production.

I don't know how much it costs to produce shows for a cable network, so I can't truly figure if that's a lot or a little. But if they were swimming in cash, I'd figure they'd buy a second camera :P
