Canadian "punked" phone call proves Palin absolutely clueless on finer points of foreign relations

By now I'm sure pretty much everyone knows that Sarah Palin was "punked" with a phone call from a Canadian radio talk show host masquerading as French President Nicolas Sarkozy. It pretty much proves she's fucking CLUELESS as to foreign relations. If you haven't heard the interview, here it is:

She was way too familiar with him. That "folksy, aw-schucks" shit doesn't go over well in European culture and especially in foreign diplomatic situations.

1) She introduced herself as "Sarah". Too informal when speaking to a foreign head of state for the first time. You just don't speak to a foreign head of state on familiar terms unless you know them really, really well. You would introduce yourself as "This is Sarah Palin" or "This Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin"

2) She referred to him as "Nicko-les" as you would say it in the U.S. You don't just nilly willy anglicize a foreign individual's name. You pronounce it as they would pronounce it themselves. In the case of Sarkozy it would be Nicolas, pronounced "Nick-o-lah"

Furthermore, going back to the familiarity issue, you would never refer to a foreign head of state by his or her first name. "Mr./Madam President" is how you would address them.

If I know these simple rules, why the fuck doesn't Palin. I know this was a fake phone call, but it just proves she's one clueless, abjectly stupid asshole.
