Ok so figuring in all the extra ACORN registrations, how much of an edge do we have? |
|
I know I'm personally registered 20 times. I plan to divide my votes up like this:
2 votes Obama
1 vote RFK
1 vote Paul Wellstone
1 vote Dolly Madison
15 votes Wetzelbill/Kurovski
Although I am thinking of throwing one of the votes of support over to just "Pie." I'll see.
But that being said, I figured with all of the fraudulent votes going our way, we have about a 100 to 1 advantage in voters, then if you minus all the GOP voter suppression and the rigged touch screen machines, I still got us up about 3 to 1.
Anybody else have other figures?

2. Trying to lighten up the mood around here for the homestretch |

:)
That and I'm going to be writing a more serious column or two in the next few days, so I'll need to get the game face on. My serious mode is rare, lol.

That's the idea. Crossing lines is what humor is about. But more than that, you look at the ridiculous and instead of letting it get to you, you laugh at it. It's an age old tactic. You can't take that ACORN stuff serious. Does it get to you, burn you up so much inside that it hurts your life? Because if you let it do that, it's just tragic. Don't let GOP bullshit get the best of you. People like Obama don't. He's joked about the Muslim stuff, you don't think that's a touchy subject?

5. I take seriously anything that the other side is using as a voter suppression issue. |
|
I get the humor, don't get me wrong. But the issue is too close to being used to possibly negate the results of the election that I don't think we should be joking about it. At least not here; maybe in the Lounge. But that's just me.

6. well honestly the ACORN thing is useless to them |
|
It's really a non-issue. They have nothing there they can't do anything legally because there is nothing to do. It's just a ridiculous tactic by a desperate man and a desperate party. It got no traction at all. There is virtually no voter fraud of that kind in our country, Bush's administration has investigated it for years and found something like 24 cases in the last 8 years, it's almost nonexistent. That's what they fired some of the DAs for, like David Iglesias, for example. There is no way at all they could use it to negate anything, they've tried for it, epic fail. It's as laughable as say when McCain was attempting to make an issue out of Barack advocating inflating tires. Things like that are so stupid they just need to be shot down and laughed at. :)
