Don't you think Obama would have been helped allot if Jay Rockefeller or Robert Byrd would have helped. I have been seeing Jay Rockefeller ads we all know he is a shoe-in, instead of wasting money on his ads why didn't he do some for Obama? Maybe they have but I have never heard a peep from either one.

21. My gut feeling is no. I think west virginians are mostly good, hard-working

people, but also very close-minded. They seem to hold on to their narrow view on cultural issues, and when you provide reasonable refutation, they cling even harder. I think there's a great deal of racial tension in this state, especially south of the mason-dixon line (to which there is a monument in Marshall county). The weird part is that they're fed up, but not quite fed up enough to vote for a black man. In fairness I think this type of thing exists to a smaller degree throughout the country. There was youtube footage of a palin rally in St. Clairsville Ohio, moderate upper income city only 10 miles from Wheeling. The consensus there was that Obama is Anti-White, a muslin, terrorist, and that Palin is "filled with the holy spirit"

Ignorance is second only to hypocrisy among right wingers.
