If the national polls are 8-10% how then is Pa.even closer than that |
|
impossible. I also think Ohio and Florida must be close to the national average, they both were pretty close in 04.

4. NBC used the Mason Dixon poll... always seemed to be skewed to repubs. |

I really don't care. If it gets people off of their collective arses and in to the polls! Complacency is not our friend at this point. Get out there and work for Obama. I'm doing a 2 to 6 shift today!

The Mason Dixon Polls are essentially what the McSame folks are hanging their hat on. Their polls (as opposed to many others) consistently show Obama with a) less than 50% of the vote and b) leading McSame within 2-4 points. The Republican theory is that undecided white voters will break 4-1 for McSame, so they read a poll showing Obama up 47-45 as a 49-48 McSame victory.
I reckon we'll learn who had the better grasp of political science on Wednesday.

The Mason Dixon Polls are polling the Republican election theft teams around the country, and include the "theft factor" in calculating their results.

12. What's funny is that M-D is actually an improvement over their previous poll. |
|
1 point, I believe, but still an improvement.

National polls are averaging about 7 percent.
McCain is blasting PA with negative ads and has campaigned heavily there. At this time I think PA is just slightly outperforming national polling.

8. McFailin has camped out in PA and thrown everything he has into it. |
|
It's not really that surpising at all. Just keep in mind that Obama hasn't felt the need to spend time there though. This tells me Obama is pretty confident about his position there.

13. PA has a few things going against Obama. |
|
1) People there are OLD! When all the jobs left in the 1980's, a lot of people left too, especially young people. Those nearing the end of their working age stayed behind. 2) It was the sight of a 6 week war during the primaries, in which Clinton threw the sink at him. This could have lingering effects. 3) The de-industrialization of the state has strengthened the influence of rural areas and their mentality within the state.
