The details of about 500,000 online bank accounts and credit and debit cards have been stolen by a virus described as "one of the most advanced pieces of crimeware ever created".

Though this might interesting to IT types, my job involves prevention and removal of trojans, virus,etc.

1. This is why I have no online accounts.
I set mine up where you cannot discuss or deposit into my HSBC account without telling a human being my verbal password. Even I cannot deposit into it at the bank unless they ask me for it.

Demand this of your account. They can add this to your account if they want to keep you.

I use a credit card that's not even from the same bank for online purchases, to limit my exposure.
