Great. You can post links! Bravo!

I don't support baby killers nor do I support socialist economics or arming civilians and reducing the power of our military. I don't support a vice-president that piggybacks his personal agenda against music and expression on other bills knowing that it will get signed into law without a second thought. You love links so much; go read up on the RAVE Act and the AMBER Alert bill (S151) and post links to your heart's content.

I DO NOT SUPPORT OBAMA SO GET OVER IT.

Nice try though.

Not everyone is on his balls as if he can do no wrong. Even life-long Democrats are leaving their party because they're so disgusted with him. What does that tell you?

You're not going to change my mind or make me have some sudden Liberal realization where I have a surreal vision of ObamaMessiah descending from upon high to show me the evils of John McCain or the Republican party. I hate everything Obama stands for. I fear a country under his presidency being overrun by ghetto thugs, entitlement whores, and the worst of the "ME" generation. And he wants to arm them and choke our military! Even better! Ask the Anointed One how the hell the ol' gun ban is working in the shithole city he hails from. Ask him how clean the politics governing it are. Ask him how balanced his budget is and how many Strogers Todd added to the payroll when he was elected.

You people make me fucking sick defending this loony tune like he's the saving grace of this country. I have held my tongue long enough against you Liberal idiots. It's time someone not drunk on the Messiah's rhetoric stood up against this radical man.

I gave a reply and ended the discussion. The hatred and the lies are just disgusting. :puke:

1. That person is obviously irrational and doesn't want to engage in any sort
of meaningful discourse. Nothing you can do to get through to people like that.

2. What's funny is that she asked a question sounding so reasonable...
I responded thinking that she just didn't know.

4. They always get like that when facts are placed before them.
It seems to be like garlic or holy water to vampires.

3. Okay, I'm going to give you a way to fight the abortion hypocrites

Did you know that while abortion clinics abort 1 fetus per person, in-vitro fertilization usually aborts (use this word) 9 or 10 fetuses per person?

And yet despite this, NO pro-life movements are protesting in front of in-vitro fertilization clinics, or proposing legislation to do away with in-vitro fertilization, or doing anything.

Pro-life is not actually pro-life if they're not defending the fetuses being killed (use this word) by in-vitro fertilization clinics. Pro-life is hypocritical.

5. Here is what I said to her, but I opted not to respond to the 'baby-killer' crap...
That's when I know there is no reasoning with someone.

Obviously, you refuse to read, but that's okay. You've got the talking points down which is pretty typical.

Diehard republicans have endorsed Obama for a reason. McCain picked an incompetent idiot for his VP. That's a tough pill to swallow, I know, but Palin has proved not only embarrassing for women, but is also a bigger drag on the ticket than the warmonger Bush.

I don't care if you change your mind or not. People like you are too narrow-minded and shallow. There is no depth or crtical thought with someone like you. That's why the talking points work on you so easily.

The military is already choked and dying thanks to the repulblicans. Ask any military expert and they'll tell you our readiness is worse now than it has been since the seventies. Vietnam damn near ruined our military and for the republicans to make it worse than that is a huge undertaking. They had to work hard to make that happen.

I'm not going to get into the mudslinging crap you seem to love so much. It's a waste of time.

Have a nice day.

Not worth the effort or the energy! They could never understand...

7. The majority of vets are like this.
I tried to show them the proof too about who votes for their programs and who cuts them back in the 1980s. Very few cared then either. They never do. That's why I don't care about them either. The ones who "get it", yes. But that's few. The rest - they ask for it, they can deal with it. They don't care about what's true, or even what's good for THEM, but only their attitudes. They're quite hopeless - if the Iraq War didn't clue them in, nothing will.

Over the years I've helped lots of vets get their claims through, and keep a roof over their heads, and get into drug treatment instead of jail, etc., that's what I'm referring to giving up on above. I don't do it anymore "in general", but only for specific people.
