Enjoy Obama’s “civilian security forces”. Though it doesn’t seem like you’ll be needing too much re-education (if any). You might even be able to earn a tax credit by turning in some neighbors.

I am all aboard any secession movement. The Federal Govt. has overreached for years, and Americans just sit around and take it.

I am originally from TX, where there is a good sized movement now. If we are unable to rein in the Fed, we should pull out of the union and get our rights back.

AK and NH also have secession movements. VT has one, but it is a such a borderline socialist state that I wouldn’t consider that one. (Amazing that it shares a border with a freedom loving state like NH).

Please don’t misunderstand me. Peaceful restoration would be fine with me...and I am not advocating violent overthrow. I’m just not optimistic. I do believe the best way would be to merely...shrug. If half the country stocked up on goods to last a year or two and simply stopped earning and spending the federal leviathan would collapse. I don’t see that happening.

28. He is under the impression that freepers if they quit their
Jobs after storing up enough food to last them for 2 years and didn't spend money on anything for those 2 years they can bring down the USA economy. Great plan except for 1 tiny little pestering fact, property taxes, if they don't pay them the state will come in and take their houses as well as all of their stored goods would also be tossed out thus ending their attempt to destroy the country.

Then because they have no jobs they will either end up living under an over pass or try to get welfare. Stupid idiots, they destroyed the very system that would have saved their ass from reality. BTW, what kills me is the stupid ass doesn't realize that giant fed government he talks about is a republicon government that took his tax dollars and gave them to billionaires and military contractors.

Just goes to show that puke supporters only buy the talking point and pay no attention to what their puke government does in action. How can anyone not see the last 8 years as anything other then the puke attempt to make the USA into 1930 Germany. Said idiot doesn't get that his chances of being locked up was in the last 8 years under the Patriot act laws passed thru a republicon controled house and senate.

Geezus, people. Some of you on this board are as bad as the nutjobs over there.

I like living in Tennessee because of the weather and low cost of living. I happen to live in a blue enclave of the state and am disappointed when he keeps turning red for national elections (even though Dems are the majority in the state General Assembly and hold the governorship), but I don't need to be taken over by carpetbaggers, again.

I'm just fed up with this fucked up thinking.

Gulags? Re-education camps? Who ARE these people? Are they just adolescent drama queens fantasizing about some spy-movie scenario in which they can be the conquering hero? The situations they describe regarding an Obama presidency are so far from reality I have to wonder if they are a roomful of schizophrenics.

22. Always Entertaining to See Spirited Infighting
Some of the posts are pretty good:
Secession cannot happen now. There is no dividing line.

The Revolutionary War clearly had a very wide line: the Atlantic Ocean. That made secession from England relatively easy and clear-cut. There is no geographic division today....

Unilateral secession is, justifiably, a violent process. The government jurisdiction is being commandeered by “enemies domestic”, and quite reasonably the government will promptly turn to force to preserve geographic jurisdiction and quell illegal dissent....

As I’ve oft posted, the practical geopolitical division is urban vs. rural - hardly conducive to any form of secession. Political conflict will lead not to separation, but to preserving vs. altering the Constitution ... a struggle for principles & personnel running the same federal jurisdiction.

29. Not just there......
"TexasDarlin's" pet Neo-Confederate, "Judah Benjamin" was telling people a few days ago that a vote for Barack Obama was a vote to dissolve the union. As I reported at Yes To Democracy.....

http://www.yestodemocracy.com/yes_to_democracy_no_to_pu/2008/10/if-you-vote-for-obama-youre-a-traitor---so-says-judah-benjamin.html

""If you vote for Obama and he is not a Natural Born Citizen, you disenfranchise yourself. If you vote for Obama and he is not a Natural Born Citizen you are explicitly breaking the Constitution. If you vote for Obama and he is not a Natural Born Citizen you are aiding the enemy of the Constitution, you are, de iure, in a condition of Rebellion. If you assist Obama and he is not a Natural Born Citizen you are, de iure, in a condition of Rebellion. Dr Vieira did not say it, so let me say it for him, a squalid case of Nationality Fraud has been elevated from a minor irregularity to the level of Treason Felony and Misprision, and if you think I’m joking go look up the appropriate Legal texts, including the Constitution.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I ask you to consider the words of Dr Vieira very carefully. If Barack Hussein Obama II, or Barry Soetoro if you prefer his other Legal Name, is Ineligible to hold the Office of President of the United States he can never preside over any Administration. In Legal terms therefore, should he gain Election by the Electoral College and then proceed to Inauguration there would be no Legitimate Federal Government, of any Branch, that is if I follow Dr Vieira’s argument correctly. At that point the United States of America would, in effect, cease to exist among the Community of Nations. Unlike 1861 the Union would not be broken, it would be utterly dissolved upon the Winds of Time, as if it had never been."

Yes, you read that right. What "Judah Benjamin" is claiming here is simple. According to him:

If you vote for Sen. Barack Obama, you're really not exercising your right to vote.
If you vote for Sen. Barack Obama, you're rebelling against the United States.
If you vote for Sen. Barack Obama, you are aiding, abetting, and assisting in the destruction of the United States and the dissolving of the Union.
And if you vote for Sen. Barack Obama, you are a traitor.

This is how insane they've gotten - and some of the other posts are even more vile. Like Berg's friend Linda Starr...

"The judge was wrong and the decision will be overturned by the Supreme Court. Phil has enough proof to order Obama to produce the documents.

Failure to overturn it will guarantee a Constitutional crisis and ensuing Civil War when patriotic citizens take up arms to prevent the illegal alien, Barack Hussein Obama from remaining on the ballot.

Obama himself has publicly promised more transparency and an immediate response to forcefully dispove smears and false assertions. And we're expected to believe him when he won't even show proof he's eligible?

I keep seeing angry people advising other angry people to buy guns and ammunition and survival supplies. Now I see why. To survive when the coming Civil War breaks out. The military is stretched too thin to stop it. I think that advice is well worth considering if the Supreme Court does not overturn this bad decision. The rule of law no longer means anything when federal judges do not even respect the Constitution enough to uphold it.'
