I know some of you were worried about the pumpkin.

On Friday, I posted pics of Barack picking out a pumpkin to take home to the kids for Halloween.





There was a great deal of concern with this picture in particular, showing the pumpkin being thrown to Obama's personal assistant, Reggie Love.



Apparently some were worried that Reggie might drop the pumpkin. Obama trusts this man with his life .... or at least with his chapstick (which to me is the same thing.) And lest anyone continue to doubt Reggie's pumpkin catching skillz, lemme remind you of his previous line of work....



Rest assured my friends, the pumpkin made it safely to Chicago....





Sadly, I must report that the pumpkin was later butchered by a 10 and a 7 year old during a night of sugar-induced revelry.

And what can we take from all of this? That the man we are electing on Tuesday has the brilliance and the foresight to carry the pumkin on the side that would make it most visable to the camera pool. ;)

(sidenote, I LOVE this painting, and I understand why he did it, but I SO wish Rockwell had not included the N word in the background. It mars what is otherwise a beautiful image.)

And those pics are just priceless! That last one is my fave. That is a Life Magazine worthy pic. I love the guy in the background smiling at the sight of Obama in his suit clothes carrying that pumpkin. That pic will be a cherished memory for the girls when they get older. Sweet!!!
