OMG! I saw a McCain bumper sticker! We are so screwn! |
|
It's hopeless. What to do? If I vote, they'll only steal it. I know, I'll stay home. No, better yet, I'll vote Green Party. Ah, fuck, why not just try to bum everybody else out with yet another in an interminable parade of "doom and gloom" posts.
Or maybe, just maybe, I will wake up on Tuesday, kiss my wife and kids good-bye, and head off to the polling place to cast my vote for the next President of the United States, Barack Obama, who currently has a lead outside of the margin of error in the RCP compilation of legitimate polls.
Yeah, that's the ticket. Not particularly dramatic, but it works for me.

2. Good for you, 11 Bravo. Around here (early-voting in N.C.) the lines in urban areas |
|
were long and slow-moving. Lots of folks out to vote.

3. I saw my *first* McCain-Palin sign this week |
|
And I laughed because I realized it was truly the only one I've seen. Of course, I am in Seattle so that is not all that surprising, but still, it's nice to not have to experience what I did in TX in 2000 and 2004, where W stickers and signs were EVERYWHERE.

4. Careful. You'll be accused of ignoring the trauma of the last 2 elections. |
