I kind of hope Saxby faces runoff in December
and Dems have 60 seats hanging in the balance. It would be awesome to see Obama as president elect pumping MILLIONS of surplus money from his campaign into the Georgia race. Quite a load of fun to watch Saxby Chambliss and his traitorous ads get into the national klieg lights again and a National REFERENDUM on hate politics.

1. I kind of hope so, too.
We'd be able to re-live the presidential elections knowing that Obama has already won, and the Georgia election would be about payback and running up the score. Like a team that has already made the playoffs and needs to win a game for home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

3. EGGGG-ZACTLY!!
The Democrats in Georgia would be PUMPED UP! A curious question. Can people be registered AHEAD of the special election in Georgia's runoff?

That would be hilarious. Get ACORN down their in every road and dirt path registering voters.

2. I kind of hope something a lot worse for Saxby but
saying what that is would probably get me a date with the black heliochoppers.

7. OH WOW! How sweet.
Getting Obama, Biden, Max Cleland, some Republican veterans....wow. That could be a fun side show ahead of the inauguration.

In 1992, President-elect Clinton campaigned for Wyche Fowler in Georgia during the Senate runoff. Fowler ended up losing by a narrow margin even though he had gotten a plurality on election day. I don't want to see Obama campaign hard only to see us lose the race.

8. I don't think it would hurt Obama or Georgia if there was a runoff.

9. We can't expect the same level of turnout for a runoff as on election day
Better hope for Chambliss to be soundly defeated on Tuesday. If there is a runoff, it will be harder for us to win.

13. normally, I'd agree with you. but I believe African Americans
once they were empowered by a win by Barack Obama would have a bit more faith in the process and be an amazing voting block since it would matter for so much nationally.

10. Clinton didn't have the black voter turnout power that Obama does.
In a run-off, repubs will be thoroughly demoralized while Obama can just flick on the switch of his organizational groundgame in GA. I mean, with one email, think of how many Obama volunteers would travel down to GA to do GOTV work.

12. that would be crazy to watch. kind of unprecedented
that's why I sort of want to see it since Dem winning that Georgia seat outright would be difficult and improbable.

14. I do too. I would like to deprive Chambliss of even the slightest hope that he might win.
