CALLING ALL NYC DU'ERS--want to have a Election Night meet-up/party? |
|
Respond to the thread or PM me if you're interested, and we'll try to organize one. There are plenty of awesome pubs in Manhattan that will definitely be showing the coverage.
(Not my apartment, though--unless you want a really tiny, cramped gathering.)

I already have plans. But this is a great idea! It would be fun to watch with fellow DUers.

Of which I am not one but that place is going to be one Rockin' Par-tee:party::patriot::bounce::patriot:
I went through NYC in August and went to the Farmer's Market in Union Square and bought a bunch of Obama Buttons..it was right after the religious debate thing between Obama and mccain.
I was encouraging those at the Obama Tables that YES WE ARE GOING TO WIN!

I was roaming the streets of NYC, taking in the beauty and wonder of the greatest city on this big blue planet ....
I SO miss it, and I SO wish I could be there ....
Like, forever ...
My mom's family is from Brooklyn (OLD Greenpoint, not the NEW Greenpoint), and I still have lots of cousins who are there .... I was actually born in Lodi, across the Hudson, but what is North Jersey but a suburb of NYC ?
My first ten years were spent absorbing NYC culture and sensibility ... I still carry it deep within me ...
I miss it ...
