I am listening to cheesy 70's and 80's music - what are you doing to chill out from Election stress? |
|
Any moment I could break down and start dancing around the room...It beats wringing my hands and refreshing polling sites and making calls, fearful that I will scream at an undecided voter.

6. Here's what you can do.,.. |
|
Arrange to have some friends rent a boat and drop you off and a deserted island with a a tent, a hammock, and a week's supply of food and water. No radio, no cell phone. Then have them come back and pick you up next Sunday. By then it will all be over.

I worked in the yard. Cut a huge fir tree down about a week and a half back, and have been working on it everyday to help with any stress. My son is the one who is really worked up over the election, he can hardly wait for Tuesday to come around. He is only 14, but is really into the election this year. He was to young to get into the 2004 election, but he has been for Obama from day one, along with almost everyone of his friends at school last year. This year he is being home schooled through an internet program we have in Washington state, Oregon, California, and several other states. He is going to do his work ahead of time so he has nothing to do on Tuesday but keep up on the elections. He will be able to vote in the nest presidential elections, and I am so proud that he is taking the time to understand the political process. Heck I wasn't really involved with politics till I was in my thirties! It does my hear good to see so many young people excited about Obama, and it reminds me of the excitement back when Kennedy was elected, I was young, back then buy old enough to see the excitement for the man. I was one of the saddest days of my life when he was killed!

In spite of McC liking them, I may even get to some 'Fernando' at some point soon.
Other than that, I went to my 40th high school reunion last night. Those are some young 58 years olds, I'll tell ya! Unfortunately I didn't get to talk politics, the music was too loud.

27. When I'm stressed, I bake. I've been making cinnamon rolls, cakes, muffins, and today |
|
it's chocolate chip cookies.
I like to bake to music. I have a 70's and 80's playlist on our ipod.
I'm very stressed these days. It's almost like I'm realizing how much all of us have been abused for the last eight years. It's been hell. It will feel good to have hope and pride again.
