Make that Tuesday.

Unless tragedy strikes, this is OVER. Don't tell me not to take this for granted; my first vivid and clear election memories are JFK-Nixon, and I worked in high school for Gene McCarthy, and cast my first vote for George McGovern.

I have lived through many elections, and this is OURS. The Bush family is not invested in a McCain win; in fact, they are better off with his loss. The numbers are too high for them to put the cheat machine in motion. Election fraud will happen, but not on the scale necessary to steal this one.

Keep working. Make sure we get out the vote. But expect victory on Tuesday.

Yes We Will.

1. My first vote was for George McGovern too
and I passed flyers door to door for 25 cents during the JFK campaign :-). This will be the best election win of my life.....

5. Thanks so much for that. Yes, this is the best yet. I worked for Clinton in '92.
I was happy about that, and still thank Bill for many things (like peace and prosperity), but Obama is special. In both of our lives.

6. My first vote for President was McGovern, too..
.. in 1972.

In 68 I did block walking for Johnson.

In 60 I mostly just watched what was
going on, but I got to shake LBJ's hand
at a campaign stop when he was running
for the nomination. I was 11 then.

Some of the kids on my block conducted
a poll of the adults in the neighborhood,
and I think Kennedy came out barely ahead.

Now, that was pretty amazing for a little
subdivision of Dallas where most of the
people were Baptists.

9. Those are some good memories
:hi: I'm going to love watching the returns come in on Tuesday (but I will be working at the polls all day, so probably dead tired by then).

2. I agree...I dont expect them to risk exposure
of their cheat machine on the likes of McCain/Palin. They will regroup and use it then...we have to get rid of those machines.

They will use old tactics, of suppression, other than that, they will not risk having it exposed.

7. I'm in Cleveland and Channel 19 just said 80K
They said it was very orderly and there was massive police presence downtown.

13. Same for me, I couldn't stand that long
Obama would be throwing me his bottle of water and alerting the EMT to my position on the ground. :)

I would have loved to be there also.

4. Obama seems so relaxed and confident
early voting must be looking great to him. It seems like he knows he'll win.
