CT residents: Vote NO on question 1
The CT Supreme Court legalized marriage equality in a wonderful decision this October. Unfortunately it was very bad timing. CT has a constitutional provision that says that every 20 years, the ballot must ask if the voters want to call a constitutional convention for the purpose of amending the constitution. That year is this year. So the Catholic Church and other fundie groups want to pass question 1 and call a constitutional convention in order to overturn the marriage equality decision and to try to outlaw abortion (as far as they can) by instituting a direct voter initiative system like they have in CA (see proposition 8).

We must stop the rise of Christian Fundamentalism in CT and America. So please make sure to vote against question 1 on Tuesday.

Thank you.

2. Will do. My union rep already explained that it's a run on the unions, too.

8. You got it - I had already planned on voting NO
we need to spread the word on this one. It's the only chance the RW has in CT, but it's been sold a lot differently than that.
