McCain Broke Down His Campaign Strategy COMPLETELY Last Night
Edited on Sun Nov-02-08 06:30 PM by IWantAnyDem
Reverse Maverick - He did what everybody from the neo-theo-con wing told him to do and picked Sarah Palain.

Double Maverick - He went insane and totally off the reservation when the economic crisis hit. He suspended his campaign and called for the debate to be postponed. This freaked everybody out, including regular mavericks.

Charleston - Actually, he pulled a Dubuque, spending way too much time in Iowa where he has no chance.

Sad Grandpa - His appearance on SNL last night.

2. I saw that, and I said to my friend next to me, "He's conceding the election right here."
No other way to interpret that appearance, from my perspective. There's a kind of self-parody that's still self-promotion on a base level, but this was blatant self-deprecation of a kind that seemed to say, "You guys were right all along, I AM a walking joke."

Not the worst way to bow out, I have to say...

3. I had the exact same thoughts last night. I wonder how many more
people did....especially the "Sad Grandpa", was, I thought, too obvious.

4. He's even sort of doing a Rocky IV
His campaign releasing his "internal polling" to explain how they're going to win it is sort of a Rocky IV.
