RAS: Obama heading towards huge win in his homestaet (biggest IL victory since LBJ)
If Obama receives 60% or more of the vote in Illinois it will be the biggest victory for any candidate for president in ILlinois since LBJ defeated Barry Goldwater in 1964, prior to that FDR's 1936 victory would be the bigger:

Barack Obama continues to hold a solid lead over John McCain in his home state of Illinois. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds Obama on top 60% to 38%.

Those figures are little changed from the Democrat’s 56% to 39% lead a month ago and his 56% to 40% lead two months ago.

Nationally, the Democrat has held a steady lead over McCain for more than a month in the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll and in Electoral College projections.

Obama is supported by 95% of Illinois Democrats and holds a 28-point advantage among unaffiliated voters. McCain gets the vote from 91% of Illinois Republicans (see crosstabs).

Obama is viewed favorably by 63% of Illinois voters, McCain by 49
