From Friday's Austin American Statesman:
******************************************
PIttsburgh - a volunteer for Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign agreed Thursday to enter a probation program for first-time offenders for falsely reporting that a supporter of San. Barack Obama had robbed and assaulted her and scratched a "B" into her cheek.
Ashley Todd, 20, of College Station had said the attack happened when a man saw her McCain bumper sticker.
******************************************
Oh yeah, Ashley, that'd be REAL likely - that an Obama supporter would rob you and scratch a "B" into your cheek! And FYI - College Station is where Texas A&M is, which if anything, is more conservative than ... well, shit, far too many areas of TX are conservative... let me just put it another way: although I know a few liberals who went to A&M, it's far more common to see a huge SUV hauling ass down the interstate with 'Texas A&M', 'McCain-Palin', and a 'christian' (I always put it in quotes because they're not *really* Christian :^) 'fish' on it.

1. Actually, I think she was Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania when she did it. |

Regardless, though, it was lame, racist, and completely unbelievable. She should be locked in a mental ward.
