My 70 year old dad had me on the floor laughing the other day while watching Election Coverage

My dad is a 'moderate'. He is a fair guy. He has voted Republican in the past thinking it was good for his portfolio, but he hates Bush & he hates stupidity.

I went for a visit, and we were watching election coverage on MSNBC and chatting about the election at the kitchen table. And, he was driving me nuts! Every time McCain would come on (which is a lot, it is ELECTION coverage), he would lean over me and switch the channel.

'I can't look at him'! Dad, c'mon chill. Then, he would switch it back...And, two minutes later McCain clip would come on again...
'Don't call me your friend you SOB'. He turned the station ten times before I finally shut it off. I couldn't stop cracking up.

He told me he was sorry, and that he couldn't STAND McCain and that he couldn't take it, if he won. And, then he told me (my cheapskate Dad) he had been donating to Obama quite a bit because watching McCain would piss him off so much & he would want to do something, so he would give more money. He stated he had to change the channel because he couldn't keep donating (he did his part:)!

Too much! Love yeah Dad

:)

2. K&R for a great story!
My mom passed in July of 2006 @ 84. She had voted for president moron twice, but I believe she'd have voted for Obama this year. Part of the reason was that she saw what a horrible failure he is, Part would be so that her African American grandson (my 8 year old) would have a hero he could look up to in the White House.

6. My Dad, white, WWII Vet, still uses the N-word, voted for Obama Friday
Absentee in MI. He is 83. My 80 y/o Mom voted for Obama also. The way she says Obama is so cute, I really ought to get it on video. She kind of puts an ! after his name in conversations. I can't explain it right, but she really likes this guy.

gawd, i just love this election year.

12. That would affect me
that way too if I watched corporatemedia and saw mccain come on all the time.

I see him too much in these clips I watch in Politic Videos so I understand how your dad can be incensed.

13. I'm 70 too
and started donating a years ago when Howard Dean ran, and to the DNC and to OBama - very small donations (SS).

I am donating because of my grown children - and your Dad is probably donating for YOU, not himself...

16. Sounds like everyone.. He made up part of Obama's donation.. him and Palin..
too funny.. My mom can't stand him.. "look at him up their snarling again".. "what a creepy old guy". She loves Obama now.. She loved his commercial.. she didn't want it to end, and the more McCain keeps yelling about it, the more pissed she gets because she was so enthralled, she could have watched 2 more hours... She loves his commercials.. the only bad thing she said about Obama was that she didn't like his halloween joke about McCain being Bush.. she likes it when he goes positive. I told her, its a joke... its meant to be a nice way of saying something negative... and yeah, some people want a little grit... but if Obama goes any negative, she gets upset because she's affraid it will taint him.. I told her, he's doing the job... Just wait until after WED... then you'll see.
