25. What's the cut off on ex pat voting?
Can you cast a ballot at an embassy up through Tuesday? Do they have one stop registration and voting?

I wouldn't doubt they have ex pat opportunities to GOTV, if time still allows.

But money is good too. Money is the mothers milk of politics. This campaign has spent it's money very wisely and gotten an incredibly large and extremely well recruited and trained staff.

Having both worked and volunteered in a number of other political endeavors, I am completely impressed with the professional and functional abilities of the paid staff. Almost all of them have been truly awesome people who work under often difficult and trying situations yet make it look fun and easy.

And of course it costs a lot of money to hire and professionally train and provision so many organizers. While the salary levels aren't anything to write home about, the results are nothing short of amazing.

Just kidding. I look at all the numbers, but they can be deceiving and illusive. I'm an agnostic, so I can't just "trust in God". I guess I'm just gonna try to last another day!

Sorry, I can't talk you down. I'm clinging to the ceiling!

You Are One Of The Few On Here Who Has The Right Attitude
If you are in politics and go into election day not feeling nervous, then you will lose. Always go into election day feeling that you are behind.

19. Really? So, if we are optomistic, Obama's running a nearly perfect campaign for 21
months will have been for naught? What if we are only SECRETLY optimistic and we are outwardly nervous? Will that work? Or will the Phantom Election Emotion Detector 'smell' our good energy and crush Obama anyway? I mean, how sensitive IS the Phantom Election Emotion Detector (that's PEED, for short) anyway? Where do they hide that thing in the polling places? Is it under the voting machines? In one of the desks of poll workers? Where?? If we wear a lead apron, will that throw it off, like x-rays?

23. Any Politician That Is Worth Their Salt
will tell you that a successful campaign should always feel like they are behind. Never feel like you have it in your pocket. The Obama team understands this and this is how they have run their campaign in the closing week. This is one reason why he will win.

27. The campaign...yes. Me and you? Not so much.
The reasoning behind a campaign not getting smug is that they need to keep their foot on the accelerator all the way through the election. Whether you and I feel optimistic isn't really going to effect the outcome. I do not plan to not vote because I feel optimistic. I donated as late as last week even though I feel optimistic. I still plan to make phone calls tomorrow before my doctor's appointment and yet I am optimistic. You can actually manage to be optimistic and still keep moving forward. You don't have to be motivated by fear to be motivated.

13. Just took a half a Xanax hehe - not so nervous anymore LOL
Seriously, take your nervous energy and see what you can do to help the campaign, help get your mind off the nervous vibe. They desperately need people, even if it's phone banking or baking a cake to take to the office for the volunteers to stock up on fuel as they go about their business.

Every little bit helps and we could use your help.

In the meantime, take deep breaths and tell yourself every thing will be ok.

Hang in there and hang loose!

15. I will try...
I went to Obama's Rally in Columbus, Ohio today. There were at least 60,000. (McCain was in Columbus yesterday he drew less than 10,000.)

Obama was in Cleveland this evening there were 80,000!

The latest USA Today poll shows that Obama leds in Ohio by a margin of 11%. (53% to 42%)

If Obama takes Ohio it is over.

How did I do?

29. Actually this has been one of the most stress free election years I can remember enjoying
I was much more nervous in 2004 and 2000. The issues are on the dems side this time. The excitement is on our side. The early voting is on our side. The huge registration numbers since the primaries are on our side. Obama is going to win easily.
