Challenge For Concern Trolls And The Genuinely Concerned
Assume the Gallup poll that has Obamna up by eleven and the CBS/NYT poll that has Obama up by thirteen are correct...

Can you tell me the last presidential candidate to win the popular vote by double digits and lose the Electoral College?

1. It doesn't matter. They're going to say we're doomed until we win...
And then they'll take credit for the victory.

DOOMED, I tell you....DOOMED!!
God, I am so FUCKING sick of being lectured because I won't jump on the Neurotic Wagon. I also have to say that I am not so much of a egotist that I think whether I am optimistic or pessimistic is going to have a serious impact on this election. If I see one more person say that holding an optimistic attitude is going to lose us this election, I am going to run amok. Yes, AMOK.

And as far as I am concerned, pessimism is for pussies. It is easy to wring your hands and predict doom and gloom. It is a win/win situation. If Obama loses, you get to say "I told you so" and if he wins, you celebrate and take the credit for staying ever vigilant. It is a lot braver to just say, "Hey, I think we are going to win!!" and take a very slim chance on being wrong and getting your feelings hurt.

Santa not...

Republicans are spoiled because of the Election tampering they have grown accustom to winning with. Defeat will cause them to face some realities but I am not holding my breath that they can change.

The Limbaugh's of the World have grown fat off by leading astray the (apparently) diminished mental capacity listeners. So reality will still get competition for profit (and fun because I really think Rush is aroused by manipulating his sheep). There have been some catharsis stories already but it's too late for many.

39. Litigation..
having this election end up in the courts...and all the other nefarious ways our elections can be fucked with on election day. I am confident that Obama will win if we all can vote, and if all our votes count...but I am also cautious because this country has lost the reality of law and order. I am thrilled that so many courts in different states have thrown out the lawsuits being brought by Republicans, but I can not disregard my trepidation. It ain't over till it's over.
