Poll question: Which Bush Term was the worst?
Let me break it down for you:

First Term, 2000-2004: Elected by the Supreme Court, 9/11, Bungling Afghanistan, Patriot Act, Wiretapping, Jingoism run Amuck, Unilateral Invasion of Iraq, Winning a Second Term.

Second Term, 2004-2008: International Contempt, Terry Schiavo, Katrina, AG scandal, Plame Affair, Cheney's Got a Gun, Iraq casualties rise, Iran warmongering, Economic Disaster, ...?

1. Need a tie option. And you left out FISA.

2. No tie option. You have to pick one.
And I left off a lot of things...limited space, ya know...

4. Second term, for two reasons: ROBERTS and ALITO.
Also, more damage was done in terms of deaths, economics, our military, etc. because of Bush in the second term.

9. Agreed - imagine if Kerry had those appointments
But, Roberts & Alito could be on the Court for another 20-30 years.

5. Immeasurably the first term. For one very simple reason:
No first term=no second term.

6. I think crappier stuff has happened in THIS term..
...but on the other hand, during his first term, half the country worshipped the ground he walked on. THAT was awful.

7. I chose first term for this reason...
If we had not had the first term we likely would not have had to endure a second. The first term was when the ship of state hit the iceberg, now we are just starting to man the life boats as the stern points to the sky.

10. 2nd one!
I was onto his lies during the first term... so it made the 2nd one almost unbearable because people couldn't see thru what he was doing to this country! It was all bad, but never I despised him like I did during the 2nd term! Hearing his voice on TV made me almost ill!:puke:

13. Because everyone would pick that option as a cop-out...
...and I really want to know which years DUers think were the toughest to love through.

14. Second
Katrina, his attempt to destroy social security, his appointments to the Supreme Court, and his completely inept handling of the economic crisis makes his second term worse.
