As Was Stated Earlier by a certain Democrat Since Birth, Gallup is the Gold Standard of Polling
Edited on Sun Nov-02-08 11:33 PM by hnmnf
They have been polling for like 73 years and are one of if not THE most widely respected Pollster in the nation. They have Obama winning by a whopping 11 points, 55-44. They are putting their reputation on the line here, as is CBS, NYTimes, USA TOday, and even CNN with their seven point lead. Odds are, they are right, and Obama is going to win, and probably big on Tuesday.

8. More precisely they had it at Bush 49-47, but allocated the undecideds to Kerry.
That got him to 49%.

Remember, Kerry was ahead until Nov. 1st when they released that fake Osama bin Laden tape. Thankfully, folks are a bit wiser now.

5. I find Gallup has not been that stellar in the last two elections,
preferring to poll Middle America to the exclusion of the more urban populated coasts to give the conservative candidates the advantage. IMHO. I can't prove it but I have suspicions. If they are still polling Middle America and getting those results then I guess I have to say bully for them.
