1. I suspect they'll stop backslapping right around the time you stop projecting doom.
In other words, it won't happen.

8. Your natural instinct is to look for the downside which you call reality. That's a valid perspect-
ive. But there are others who look for the good side which they perceive as reality.

That's also valid.

Some people are energized and motivated by good news. Others get lazy because of it.

Some people are energized and motivated by fear, concern, dread. Others get depressed because of it.

There's room for everyone.

2. I'm with ya on this one
I think you're grumpy, but I really hate celebrating early - we did that in 2004 and nobody would stop and think that we still needed to have people voting out west.

4. Come on . . .
. . . we're talking LANDSLIDE here. The sleeping giant has awakened! We will control the Oval office . . . the Senate . . . the House. And soon the Supreme Court. There is no stopping us. Relax everyone. It is OVER. I'm sick of the doom squad. Enjoy the victory. The hard work starts Wednesday, preparing for the new administration.

9. I don't even want to think about that night.
Things were fine, and then all of a sudden nosedived. It was a simple call from Rove to flip the tallies.

I'm guarded. I'm always guarded. My dad taught me that pride goeth before a fall.

I really wish I weren't so conservative that way. I want to let it all out. Right now! Eight years is like a lifetime.
