Sen. Mitch McConnell must be worried: Breaks out the dirty tricks against Lunsford

Here is an excerpt from the email sent by the campaign manager:

We’ve received several reports from supporters that there are late-night robocalls being sent out across Kentucky purporting to be from the Lunsford campaign. We’ve heard that these calls were sent out at 9, 10 or even 11 at night.

These calls are NOT from us, and are designed to hurt our campaign.

This campaign doesn’t engage in dirty tricks like this, and we hope whoever is responsible for this, that they would respect the democratic process enough to refrain from them, too.

So if you hear any friends or co-workers talking about these late-night calls like they’re coming from our campaign, set the record straight!

Our campaign IS NOT behind these calls.

These calls are just like ones that right-wing groups used in 2006 in races across the country.

We do not condone these late-night calls in any way.

We have also heard reports about groups allegedly planning voter intimidation in heavily Democratic neighborhoods throughout Kentucky.
