This is why I will not celebrate until it's official...
Edited on Mon Nov-03-08 12:30 AM by cynatnite
We've just gotten a flurry of emails letting us know that GOP Trust PAC's Rev. Wright attack ad just ran on NBC on Sunday Night Football. From the range of states people are reporting seeing it, it seems clearly to have been a national buy.

We already knew this was going to be a big national buy. But this showing seemed to get a lot of people's attention.

4. SSNNNOOORRRRREE!!!
Rev. Wright? old, old news. Don't piss off people with that kind of crap during a football game.

Most people's reaction now that the narratives are well entrenched? "Geez, McCain will say anything to try getting elected."

7. They've been playing this ad constantly here...
I mute the TV, but when I read that it's a national buy for football, then I get tense. Thinking about it, I've been tense with every stupid poll that's came out. I put on some scifi flick after three hours of listening to them go on and on about the Mason-Dixon polls today.

18. pay attention to where they are campaigning
pay attention to the body language of pollsters. Look at that stupid fucking Bulldog Hannity who KNOWS his party is going to lose big.

Their slime ads are cliche. People will glaze over and say, "DAMN, I'm glad I already voted for Obama so we can move on by next Wednesday."

9. Nah
The american electorate has become cynical of these GOP attacks. I don't see it working. McCain screwed up. He should have picked Pawlentry or Romney as his VP and played the experience card down the wire. It might not have gotten him the win, but I could see many people wanting to vote for O, but wary of his inexperience and going with the "safe" ticket.

11. Portland Oregon saw it ...
I am an atheist supporter of Obama ....

I believe Obama is one of the most patriotic candidates we have ever seen ...

Nevertheless: They should respond to this ad ....

13. Obama disowned himself from Wright, so he has responded. Done
did this months ago. Why should he give any credit to this creepy ad? I don't think so myself.

19. We learned, after Kerry ...
We don't allow vicious attacks like this without a strong response ....

That is what I believe .... Even if it seems harmless to you: That is how we have to prosecute campaigns from now on: Power into them with as much force as possible ...

There is no downside from a strong refutation ....

12. They've been buying time for it here in WA state for at least a couple of days now.
Kind of a waste of $ I would say.

Anybody who cares has probably already committed to McPalin.

But I agree; it aint over 'til it's over.
