Half of you are bursting with confidence--the other half of you have never been so demoralized. |
|
And then in a few hours, you'll all switch sides.
For my part, I know Obama is going to win. I know it instinctively, I know it by the numbers, I know it from the "experts" on all sides of the political spectrum. They ALL are tell me Obama is definitely going win on Tuesday.
I don't know how much Obama is going to win by. I feel confident that it'll be well above 300+. By how MUCH over 300, I have no idea, and I refuse to even contemplate it. A solid win is a solid win, and a movement like the one he's put together, with the support and money and motiviation behind it, simply cannot be denied by any skulduggery or last-minute spook tactics.
Barack Obama believes in this country's ability to do the right thing, and that's good enough for me.

1. You strain credulity with this assertion ... |
|
People's opinions are a continuum from absolute fear to prideful absolutism ....
You act as if there is only one or the other extreme ....
Get real ....

3. You know, Trajan, the more you talk, the less you say. |

I haven't put anyone on Ignore since the Primaries, but your passive-agressive routine is really getting on my nerves.

4. I am tired of your constant degradation of good DUers ... |
|
Simply because they are 'concerned' ...
You need to get smacked down, even if for the fallacious assertions you spew, like this bifurcation you have presented here ....
You have had your way with a good many people here, with little cause except your own ego ....
I am tired of it, and I am sure I am not alone ...

5. No, I rather think you are alone. Concern trolls aren't nearly as popular as you might suspect. |
|
BTW--that's strike 3. I'm putting you on Ignore. When we're all celebrating on Tuesday, I'll come back and apologize profusely.

<< Barack Obama believes in this country's ability to do the right thing, and that's good enough for me.>>
So did Al Gore ...so did John Kerry...and once upon a time, so did I! Just maybe, we that have experienced just such confidence and such bitter, bitter, disbelieving disappointment in the past two elections, are holding back our unequivocal assuredness until AFTER the votes are counted this time.

10. Why should anyone be demoralized? |
|
Nervous, I can understand. Obsessed, I'm there with ya. Pessimistic, hey I can't blame someone for feeling that way after the last two elections..
But demoralized? Ha, yeah right. We have an amazing candidate, who has put together one of the greatest modern campaigns. We are leading in every single national poll (yes, every single one put out there), most of which give our guy 51-55% of the vote.
The last several months have been fought in states that Bush took the last two elections. Only one state that Kerry/Gore took is theoretically competitive, and even then marginally so.
And we lead in early voting.
No, that doesn't mean Obama has won. Far from it. However, with all our efforts the next two days, we can make it happen. This is looking very good. I never thought I'd see this actually.
